Staffing Ratios & Compliance
The Oregon HB 2697 Unit Staffing Compliance Pack measures your unit staffing against Oregon's statutory nurse-to-patient ratios and logs every gap and its restoration. You select each unit and its HB 2697 unit type, enter your census and staffing, and the workbook checks adequacy against the applicable ratio — ICU 1:2, Med-Surg 1:5 (moving to 1:4 in June 2026), ED 1:4, L&D 1:2 in active labor, plus CNA day and night caps — with those ratios imported from the module and never retyped. The pack pairs the workbook with a plain-language guide to what HB 2697 actually requires, including its critical enforcement nuance: OHA enforces ratios only where they are incorporated into an approved Nurse Staffing Plan, through a committee and complaint-driven process. Every ratio is the state's cited figure; every census, staffing count and gap is your own entry, and the workbook tells you to confirm the current statute and plan status yourself.
